Legal
Terms and Conditions
Effective
1. Operator and agreement
SnoozeFine is operated in Switzerland by James Leadbeater, trading as JL Intelligence. JL Intelligence is a trading name, not a separate legal entity. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to James Leadbeater as the operator. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SnoozeFine iOS app and related account-backed services.
By downloading, accessing, or using SnoozeFine, or by accepting these Terms in the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use SnoozeFine. The SnoozeFine Privacy Policy forms part of the service information and explains how personal data is handled.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be legally able to enter a contract and comply with the minimum age and parental-consent rules that apply where you live. SnoozeFine is not directed to children. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device secure and for the activity carried out through your account.
SnoozeFine uses an account to link subscriptions, alarms, habits, progress, and Friends data. You must provide accurate information, use only your own account, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. The SnoozeFine service
SnoozeFine is an accountability and routine app. Depending on your account and subscription status, it may provide alarms, manual habits, selected Apple Health-backed habits, cloud synchronization, progress statistics, weekly recaps, positive DisciPoint awards, and private Friends leaderboards. Some features require an active SnoozeFine+ subscription; the app identifies the features and subscription status available to you.
SnoozeFine is not a medical device, medical service, sleep clinic, emergency-alert service, financial product, bank account, payment wallet, charitable account, or substitute for professional advice. DisciPoints are not money and are not a donation or charitable fund.
4. SnoozeFine+ subscription
SnoozeFine+ is an auto-renewable monthly subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Before you confirm a purchase, the app displays the product, localized price, renewal period, and relevant subscription information. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, the subscription normally renews automatically and your Apple Account may be charged within the 24 hours before the next period begins. Renewal, billing, grace periods, billing issues, price changes, and refunds are subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings and use Restore Purchases in the app where available. Deleting the app or your SnoozeFine account does not cancel Apple billing. If you cancel, access may continue until the paid period ends. A refund request should normally be submitted to Apple through Report a Problem.
5. DisciPoints
DisciPoints are an in-app accountability measure. Under the current implementation, the server may award points for qualifying wake-up completions and completed habits. Snoozes and missed habits do not deduct points. The server is the source of truth for point totals, earning events, duplicate handling, and displayed history.
DisciPoints have no cash value and are not money, stored value, credit, cryptocurrency, a security, a payment instrument, or a transferable or redeemable asset. They cannot be sold, exchanged, withdrawn, donated, or converted into a refund or other benefit. They do not represent money held for you or money owed to you.
Award amounts, qualifying activities, eligibility rules, and the presentation of point history may change prospectively as the service develops. We may correct technical errors, duplicate events, abuse, or records created outside the service rules. Nothing in this section removes mandatory consumer rights.
6. Friends and usernames
Friends is optional. You choose a username and may choose a display name. Friend requests are sent by exact username and a connection is created only after acceptance. Accepted friends can see the usernames, display names, and current-month DisciPoint totals and rankings made available by the private leaderboard. Your alarms, habits, HealthKit data, email address, and detailed history are not public through this feature.
Do not use a username or display name to impersonate another person, harass someone, publish unlawful or harmful material, disclose another person’s information, or infringe someone else’s rights. We may reject or remove a username, connection, or feature access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance. You can cancel requests and remove a friend in the app.
Friends does not currently provide public posts, open messaging, user-to-user contact, or a public user directory. It is limited to the private display of the points information described above. You can decline a request or remove a friend at any time; removal ends the Friends leaderboard connection.
7. Apple Health and wellness information
SnoozeFine can read selected Apple Health metrics only after you authorize access in Apple Health. You can refuse or revoke that permission. SnoozeFine uses permitted metrics to update the selected habit and does not write information to Apple Health.
Health, sleep, and fitness features are for general wellness and routine support only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or a guarantee of health, sleep, fitness, or behavioural outcomes. Consult a qualified professional for medical questions or decisions.
8. Alarm reliability and safety
SnoozeFine uses iOS alarm functionality and is designed to help you schedule and complete alarms. Alarm operation may be affected by device state, operating-system behaviour, battery or power state, permissions, notification or system settings, connectivity, hardware or software faults, and changes made by Apple.
Do not rely on SnoozeFine where an alarm failure could cause death, injury, missed critical medication, serious financial loss, or other critical harm. Use an independent backup alarm or other appropriate safeguard for important situations.
9. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- setting and checking the correct alarm time, label, and schedule;
- maintaining a compatible device, supported iOS version, and sufficient power;
- granting and maintaining the permissions needed for alarms or HealthKit habits;
- reviewing habit targets, deadlines, progress, and timezones before relying on them;
- protecting your account credentials and accepting purchases intentionally; and
- using Friends respectfully and not sharing sensitive information in a username or display name.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse, disrupt, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or attempt to bypass the security, authentication, purchase, point, or Friends systems; submit malicious code; impersonate another person; interfere with another user; or use SnoozeFine unlawfully. This does not limit any activity that applicable law expressly permits.
11. Intellectual property
SnoozeFine’s software, branding, design, text, and other content are owned by or licensed to James Leadbeater, trading as JL Intelligence and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and your paid subscription rights, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose on Apple devices you control.
12. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update, suspend, or change SnoozeFine, including its features, award configuration, supported iOS versions, service integrations, and availability. We will not describe a feature as available when it is not part of the current service. Material changes to a paid service are subject to applicable law and any rights you have for an affected paid period.
SnoozeFine depends on Apple, AWS, RevenueCat, internet access, and your device. We are not responsible for an interruption caused by a provider, network, platform, device, force majeure event, or other circumstance outside our reasonable control.
If consumer law gives you a withdrawal period for a digital service, nothing in these Terms removes that right. If you ask for the service to begin before the withdrawal period ends, any resulting loss of a withdrawal right or proportionate charge will be handled only as permitted by the law that applies to you.
13. Promotions, Challenges, Giveaways & Sweepstakes
A. General promotional terms
From time to time, James Leadbeater, trading as JL Intelligence may sponsor and administer a SnoozeFine promotion, challenge, giveaway, or sweepstakes (a “Promotion”). Apple Inc., TikTok, and any other platform on which a Promotion is mentioned are not sponsors or administrators unless the applicable campaign rules expressly say otherwise. A Promotion is governed by this section and the campaign-specific rules we publish for it. If they conflict, the campaign-specific rules apply to that Promotion.
Campaign rules will identify the entry period, cutoff and timezone, eligibility requirements, method of entry, prize, and selection timing. Eligibility may vary by Promotion. Announcing one Promotion does not promise that it or a similar Promotion will be repeated. A person may participate only if doing so is lawful for that person and the person satisfies the published campaign rules.
B. September 2026 Winter Arc Challenge eligibility and entry
The campaign-specific rules for the SnoozeFine Winter Arc Challenge — September 2026 are available on the Winter Arc Challenge page. The challenge opens on and closes on . All valid DisciPoints recorded from the opening time and before count toward the campaign total.
Entry is open worldwide, with no country excluded by SnoozeFine, to registered SnoozeFine users aged 18 or older, except where participation is prohibited by applicable law. An eligible user who finishes the challenge period with at least 800 valid DisciPoints is entered automatically and receives exactly one entry. No separate opt-in is required. A total above 800 DisciPoints does not create another entry or improve the user's odds, and multiple accounts may not be used to obtain multiple entries. Both paid SnoozeFine users and users on a free trial can qualify. Subscription or payment status does not increase anyone's chance of winning. No additional purchase or payment is required specifically to enter, and entries or better odds cannot be purchased. Referring a friend does not create an entry or improve the referrer's odds.
C. September 2026 prize pot
SnoozeFine funds the prize in full. The prize pot starts at US$50. SnoozeFine—not any participant—adds US$2 to the pot for every qualifying user, up to a maximum final pot of US$500. The final pot therefore depends on the number of qualifying users. US$500 is the maximum possible prize, not a guaranteed prize. Participants never contribute money to the pot.
One qualifying participant will be selected randomly to receive the final pot as a USD-denominated cash prize. More qualifying participants can increase the final pot under the formula above, but referrals and participation by friends do not give anyone an extra entry or better individual odds. The odds depend only on the final number of valid eligible entries.
D. Winner selection, notification, and claim
After September eligibility has been finalized, one winner will be selected at random from all valid eligible entries on . We will send the winner notification to the email address associated with the selected user's SnoozeFine account. The selected winner must reply within exactly 7 calendar days from the time that notification email is sent.
After a timely reply, SnoozeFine and the winner will coordinate payment of the USD-denominated prize by an agreed method selected from PayPal, bank transfer, or cryptocurrency. The winner must provide the payment destination information reasonably needed for the selected method, but no additional identity or eligibility documents will be requested. If cryptocurrency is selected, SnoozeFine and the winner will agree the asset, network, and method for calculating the prize's USD-equivalent amount before payment. If the selected winner does not reply within the 7-calendar-day period, the prize is forfeited. No replacement or alternate winner will be selected, the prize pot will not be paid to another participant, and the Promotion will end with that pot unpaid.
E. Fair participation and integrity
Entries must reflect genuine use of SnoozeFine under the published rules. We may investigate and disqualify an entry where reasonably supported evidence shows that it resulted from a fake or duplicate account, a bot or automated process, fraud, manipulation of DisciPoints, exploitation of a technical bug, falsified information, or another attempt to manipulate eligibility, the prize pot, or the selection. We may correct affected point or entry records. These measures are for protecting a fair Promotion and do not permit the arbitrary removal of a legitimate entry.
F. Technical problems and necessary changes
Point calculations, account records, email delivery, networks, devices, and third-party services can experience bugs, outages, or delays. We will make reasonable efforts to determine eligibility accurately and to correct verified errors without unfairly disadvantaging legitimate participants. Where fraud, a material technical failure, a legal or regulatory requirement, or a circumstance outside our reasonable control materially affects a Promotion, we may make a proportionate change, suspension, postponement, or cancellation that is reasonably necessary to protect the Promotion's integrity or comply with law. Where practical, we will communicate a material change and its reason.
G. Platform disclaimer
Apple Inc. is not a sponsor of, involved in, or associated with the September 2026 Winter Arc Challenge. TikTok is not a sponsor of, affiliated with, administering, endorsing, or otherwise responsible for it. The Promotion is sponsored and administered solely by James Leadbeater, trading as JL Intelligence through SnoozeFine.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information SnoozeFine and its providers process, why they process it, how HealthKit information is handled, and how to request access or deletion. By using SnoozeFine, you acknowledge that processing described in that policy is necessary to provide the features you use, subject to your choices and applicable law.
15. Account deletion and termination
You may stop using SnoozeFine or initiate permanent account deletion in the app at any time after explicitly confirming the request. Account deletion is separate from cancelling an Apple subscription. Cognito sign-in is deleted immediately from the app, local account-bound data is cleared, and scheduled cleanup of associated SnoozeFine backend data normally begins within approximately five minutes. Temporary cleanup failures are retried automatically. Successful deletion requests are not retained as separate audit records. Failed or in-progress requests temporarily retain a user ID, attempt count, and technical error code until cleanup succeeds. Apple and RevenueCat may retain records under their own policies or legal obligations.
We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, security risk, abuse, unlawful conduct, or legal reasons. Where required by law, we will provide notice and any refund or other remedy required for an unused paid period.
16. Third-party services
SnoozeFine uses Apple services, AWS services, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and policies, including Apple’s Media Services Terms and RevenueCat’s Terms of Use. We do not control the independent operation of those providers.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SnoozeFine is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that an alarm will always sound, that a habit will change, that a user will wake up, or that any health, productivity, sleep, or behavioural result will occur.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory warranties, consumer remedies, liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or any right that applies despite these Terms. This includes, where applicable, liability for intent or gross negligence, death or personal injury, fraud, data-protection obligations, and mandatory digital-service, refund, or consumer remedies.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, James Leadbeater, trading as JL Intelligence will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, SnoozeFine. Where liability may lawfully be limited, our liability is limited to direct and reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach, subject always to mandatory consumer protections and the non-excludable liability preserved in Section 17.
19. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or mandatory court rights under the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.
20. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to SnoozeFine, its providers, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. If a change is material, we will provide notice in the app or by another appropriate means where required by law. Continued use after the effective date means the revised Terms apply to the extent permitted by law.
